Google Renames NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook: Everything You Need to Know

Google Renames NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook Image: The Hans India
Google announced on Thursday that it is renaming its AI note-taking app NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook. The company said the app will remain a standalone product but will be more closely integrated into the Gemini ecosystem and Google Search. Originally introduced as Project Tailwind in May 2023, the app has added features such as AI-generated podcasts, narrated presentations and short video clips. Google also reported that the app now has over 30 million users and more than 600,000 organisations. Alongside the rebranding, the company is rolling out a feature announced last month that allows the app to connect to a secure cloud-based computer to write and execute code. The feature is available to Google AI Ultra subscribers and Workspace enterprise customers and is expected to reach AI Pro users on the web in the coming weeks. Google said the Gemini 3.5 and Antigravity update, which began rolling out to AI Ultra users last month, will soon be available to AI Pro subscribers.
